Our story

How Koppelbazen came to be

Koppelbazen was founded on a shared belief: successful collaborations arise when substantive knowledge, personal commitment and industry expertise come together. With our background in logistics, supply chain and recruitment, we understand how important it is that organizations and professionals really fit together. Based on this vision, every day we build sustainable partnerships that go beyond simply filling vacancies.

Bruce

Raised in transportation & starting in recruitment

I am Bruce and have lived in Rotterdam all my life. My father had a road transport company and did business all over Europe. This is where I think the seed for this industry was already planted. I now live with my girlfriend and son.

Immediately after completing my studies in Commercial Economics – Sports Marketing, I started at Unique in The Hague. With the ambition to start in a commercial role, Unique turned out to be a good springboard. Here I gained valuable experience within both recruitment and commerce and laid a strong foundation for my future career.

After more than a year and a half I made the move to Page Personnel, where I started within the Supply Chain team. Due to the targeted focus, I grew into a specialist in supply chain recruitment in South Holland and achieved several successes during this period.

Roderick

From shop floor to tactical level

I am Roderick, born and raised in Barendrecht and now living in Rotterdam for ten years, where I enjoy living with my girlfriend.

My career within logistics began early on. While studying at STC, I worked at The Greenery as a forklift driver, a side job in addition to my studies. This experience on the shop floor gave me up close insight into logistics processes and daily practice within the supply chain.

After graduating from HBO Small Business & Retail Management at the Hogeschool Rotterdam, I moved on to the role of Tactical Buyer at The Greenery. In this role, I gained my first commercial and business experience and laid a solid foundation within purchasing and supply chain management.

Bruce

Specialist & management within supply chain recruitment

After two and a half years, I made a conscious decision to develop further towards the management path and moved to the Logistics team. Under my responsibility, the team continued to grow. I also gained in-depth knowledge of logistics in and around the Port of Rotterdam, ranging from SME companies to large international logistics service providers.

After almost a year, a new challenge followed within the Temporary & Interim team. In this period of eight months, I gained broad experience in the mediation of interim professionals in various sectors and immersed myself intensively in laws and regulations.

After five years at Page Personnel, where I gained experience within supply chain, logistics and interim recruitment, I decided to take the next step in my career.

With seven years of recruiting experience, I am a collaborative partner in these industries with great knowledge, enthusiasm and drive, to be successful for my clients and candidates.

Roderick

From consultant to manager & interim recruiter

I then made the move to PageGroup, where I started as a Consultant within the Logistics & Supply Chain discipline. In the following years I developed into Manager Logistics, where I was responsible for a team of five consultants for more than 6.5 years and managed the entire recruitment and selection of logistics professionals.

After this period, I decided to use my expertise more broadly and started as an Interim Corporate Recruiter. In this role I supported various organizations, including Panmuc Group, Nature’s Pride, Virtual Vaults and Bakker Barendrecht.

Now we continue together as the Koppelbazen

Now we are taking the next step together with Koppelbazen. We focus on the mediation of logistics and supply chain professionals, aiming to create sustainable and substantively strong connections between candidates and organizations. From our previous cooperation at Page Personnel Rotterdam we have joined forces and founded Koppelbazen to support organizations in finding the right professionals.
